School started on Wednesday this week due to the 2 holidays for Chinese New Year. Instead of staying home to study, revise & complete my holiday homework, what did I do? I went out. And, I still had the cheek to reassure myself that I'll complete it by Tuesday. It definitely didn't work out. I only managed to complete my 19 Vocabulary words, memorising the words for Spelling on Wednesday (28 Jan), finish up my final draft for my English Personal Recount & the Maths Worksheet. Trust me, I did do the worksheet but I didn't put much effort to it. I did it without thinking of the correct reasons & workings. I told you before, Maths will forever be my arch nemesis.
But, I will try to get in good terms with the evil subject. I'm gonna make this work. :)
I was still in holiday mode when I got back in school on Wednesday. It sucked, and I wasn't in the best mood. The Year Of The Ox is gonna be a year that I'm gonna hate the most. It's only the starting of the year, and too many shits have been happening. I'm still young, and I still need peace in my soul.
And so... thank god I passed my spelling! And this spelling is not just spelling of words, but we have to include the definitions - all of them & give a sentence example for each of the definition and each week, we'll have 5 words to deal with. I'm still waiting for the next 5 words so I can score full marks again!
Well, the lessons today wasn't much of a bore though compared with the other days. I was thankful Mr S. didn't had a test on Periodic Table for us today! He's such a great individual. He thinks just like us, and understands our way of learning. He knows our studying pace, and definitely he motivates us to learn more about Chemistry, not only that but the other subjects we're taking too.
The Chemistry test on Periodic Table will be on the 6th of February & I'm gonna test myself using the worksheet on my notes. We've gone through it & a way to excel & get a distinction for the test next week, is to do the worksheet with using our own skills of memory & the ways to get facts about the chapter. Some of the notes are still vividly flowing in my brain. I'm still remembering them! See Mr S., your methods work!
After an hour of Chemistry, it was an hour of English. Actually, we were expecting the guests from Indonesia (they arrived earlier today) to get a lil' something something from the lesson but in the end, they didn't appear so phew. We went through the common mistakes we Singaporean students make in oral conversations. I founded it very helpful because our 'N' Level orals will be somewhere in June/July this year, I guess.
Malay was after recess. I spent my recess with Eunice at the library. It was great, but screw those librarians & students who kept making a fuss while we were engrossed reading our respective novels in the comfortable sofa at the corner. Anyway, Malay was a bore as usual. We spent the first half of the lesson presenting what we think about students working part time during the school holidays and the remaining minutes, we started on our essay about the topic. I'm already halfway through it & I shall complete it on Monday, during Malay lesson as what Cikgu S. said since she won't be in school on that day.
I have nothing much to say about Biology & CME. All I know, was that I was busy thinking what time it was so I could get my butts out of the stinking torture chamber & make my way home to have my beauty sleep.
I spent an hour catching up with my sleep but I'm still exhausted & I think I'm gonna get sick. My eyelid is still swollen but now, it's recovering. It's not getting too obvious though. :)
Speaking of beauty, I miss my beautiful-s. Who, you may ask...?
